![]() Participate in MIPDOC March 27-28, 2004 with US Independents MIPDOC is two days of buyer screenings of documentary and educational programs just prior to the MIPTV market. A video library is set up in the Hotel Noga Hilton and more than 300 key international, specialized buyers attend. A suite of viewing booths is reserved for them to sample the on-site library of programs presented by producers and distributors. Every time a buyer requests a given program, data is collected on the fact that they viewed it and what their response was, i.e. are they interested or not in possible acquisition. This data is then available to producers for follow-up. Buyers appreciate MIPDOC because they can sit and screen on their own timetable, and they know that the program or series is finished or that it is in pilot form. The MIPDOC Programme Catalogue, including a 4-color photograph from your production and a 70-word synopsis, is mailed to buyers two weeks prior to the event. Programme categories include Adventure & Travel; Art, Music & Culture; Current Affairs; Nature & Wildlife; Doco-Soap; Educational; History& Civilization; Lifestyle; Personal Viewpoint; Science & Technology and new this year Archives & Footage. Requirements: A signed US Independents' participation agreement plus: Programme Registration Questionnaire (in triplicate); 70-word program synopsis (in duplicate); two (2) 4x6 color photo prints of the same image (no slides, no disks, no e-mails); six (6) vhs copies of the program (ntsc or pal). Special arrangements must be made for you to collect tapes at the conclusion of MIPDOC, as they will not be returned. Benefits: You will receive a detailed list of buyers who have viewed your tape, including full contact information and their level of interest for targeted follow-up. Deadline: All materials must arrive in France by February 10, 2004. You are responsible for shipping completed forms, videos, and photos. To ensure prompt delivery, please use a shipping company that will provide tracking and record of delivery.
